Family Pics

We're all BYU graduates. Hear that kids? Don't mess up the tradition now!

Cory gave me this coat for Christmas.

Just too cold and windy out. Too bad. A white winter wonderland can make some nice pics.

Happy Christmas

aww, Cory's gift choked up Kelsey
sweet Zara
the boys love to play with Luke
Lidia chillin' on Gus
Sean is a cutie
We opened some presents before we went up to Idaho. I got that bookcase in the background. It was much needed. Our Photo albums have been in the floor for a long time.
Aiden got a Rubix cube. Cory read the hints it came with and solved it for the first time in his life. He is proud of his accomplishment.
We had fun playing in the snow in Idaho with cousins.
Tristan likes to just lay in it.
The kids made some slides.
Tracy gave them a giant coloring page to work on together.
Aiden is busy building all of his legos.
Lidia was very happy to get the Littlest Pet Shop wii game.
Avery has a new CAT hat to wear all of the time.
He wanted to race his cars as soon as he opened the gift.
William seemed to like the gift I made for him.
Cory figuring out his new pasta maker.
We all had fun with Ben and Brooke's Rock Band.
cute little Teresa
The kiddos in their PJs.

Micah got the job! He'll be working at the Khol's in Clinton and may even get a raise. Now he's scrambling to hurry up and get things together so he can head out the first of the year b/c the job starts on the 10th. Good Luck Micah! I'm so glad you're coming out and living with me. Hope I don't drive you nuts! lol
We'll get the school stuff done after you get here

Classic Skate

Last night we had our ward Christmas Party at Classic Skate. The last time I skated was at Classic Skate down in Orem and it's also when I met Cory. So last night was the first time we have skated since then. We skated around together for a while holding hands, not just to be like when we met but mainly because we are both a bit wobbly. I was able to go around by myself a few times at least. I also skated with Lidia. She had fun and did pretty well and skated with her friends and with Santa. Aiden tried the skates but kept falling so he opted to stay on his razor scooter. He said he had a lot of fun too. Tristan and Avery didn't want to try but eventually did but couldn't even stand up for long. Well Avery couldn't stand up at all. He wanted us to hold him up while he just rolled the wheels around like his feet were just pushing a toy car. Avery and Tristan did go out on the jr razor a bit. I think Tristan was feeling left out so i told him he could go out in the middle circle that's for beginners with his shoes on and run around if he would stay in the circle. I was right outside the circle and I told him to race me. I was on skates. He was in shoes. He beat me every time except once he let me win. That tells you how excellent I am at roller skating. Anyway, it was fun.
My dad fell and broke his collar bone Wednesday. Hope you feel better soon Dad!
Micah's front end got swiped by the back end of a semi that cut him off yesterday. Hope you get your car repaired fast! Glad you're OK!
I have been waking up at 5:30 am the last 3 days after going to bed at my normal 11:30 or later. Not funny! I need sleep. I probably won't get any until after the holidays and my life seems more boring again. I love to look forward to things but it destroys my sleep life.

Sad Kids

The little bunny Muck died today, don't know why. The kids shed some tears before school this morning. Tristan's teacher called and said he was having a bad day. I guess he had gotten in trouble a few times. I told her the day had a rough start. She felt bad and said she would talk to him. Avery could care less. I don't think he really realizes what has happened anyway. I'll have to let them do something fun after school.
On a happier note, I am glad that Phillips is sending me a new portable DVD player. Ours made a loud beep and died suddenly just a few days after the one year warranty expired. I called and at first they were not helpful but I persisted and she extended my warranty 3 months and is sending a new one. I will send her the old one back. Hooray!
I am also happy that my brother may be moving out to live with us very soon. He is trying to transfer his job out here and go to school at the U in Salt Lake. He has an interview tomorrow. I hope he gets it. This means we will have to start working on getting the basement finished. This also makes me happy because I want it done anyway. We already use the space. Like Tristan said, it needs fancy walls and floors down there like the rest of the house. It also needs insulation and heat b/c it's pretty chilly down there now that it's freezing outside.
Also we are getting a better insurance plan this January so that should be great and a lot less money out of my pocket.
I have also enjoyed watching Heroes this season and look forward to more in February.
Just thought I would mention some things that have been making me a happy gal.
Now I must get started on all of my baked treats to take to the neighbors this week.

Books

I just got these new books and I'm way excited to learn all the things inside. If there were only more time, no getting tired or frustrated, no other responsibilities etc. I would get soo much done. I also pick up magazines sometimes with cool ideas and patterns in them. Sew Beautiful is one of my favorites. I guess this is how I "continue my education".
Last night when I went to bed this is what I found. Avery looked at me and said,"too bad, no more room".

Let it snow!

snowin' this mornin'
nice sunset today, looks kind of scary over Antelope Island
Cory and his little pal that he lets hang out on him. Bubbles sometimes nibbles at his hair. He doesn't like me, just Cory. They have bonded.

Today we got some snow and are supposed to for a few days I guess. We haven't really seen any since the one storm in early October. The kids were excited. Monday night for FHE we had the kids take money from their piggy banks and went to WalMart and had them buy things like underwear, socks, toilet paper, baby wipes, etc for the neighbor to neighbor drive which helps resupply all of the organizations that help people in need. The United Way got all the towns in the Salt Lake area to have a drive. They are in great need. The kids were happy to help. I am very proud of them. We dropped off the things we bought along with some clothes, shoes and blankets we donated from home today at the community center. The pic above was taken right after the kids gave the firemen their donations.
I think some of the feeling in my toe is coming back. Hooray! Oh wait, nope it's still numb. dang
