Our House

Aiden has lots of space in his room. I need to get him a larger real desk and give the little red one to Tristan.

The kids love the trampoline.

We went for a walk Sunday afternoon in the fields by our house. Avery and Tristan had been playing dress up.

We also walked through the community gardens behind our street.

You can see the backs of houses from my street in the upper left corner.

We came across a cricket match and stopped for a few minutes but it seemed silly and boring to us. It's not as exciting as baseball and baseball isn't even a real exciting sport.

We didn't even walk far but the kids complained. They are too lazy!

Cory fixed the mower and finished cutting the grass. It's a new mower but kept cutting off. It turned out the spark plug was dirty.

Avery's room. I bought the rug. We still need to hang up his chair.

I bought this rug for Tristan's room. They are putting in new shades. These just don't work.

Aiden likes his room.

Ignore my pile I need to put in the attic, or here they say loft. I don't love the valance. It may have to change.

I still need to put something in my pretty frame. The rod on the wall used to have a big kimono hanging from it. The owners lived in Japan for a bit. I'll just pretend it's my decorative bamboo stick.

boys' bathroom

Lidia has a good sized room too.

These built ins hold a ton of stuff.

Lidia's bathroom. There is a corner shower to the right.

My room is nice and big. I don't love these slider doors but they'll do.

The curtains will have to go at some point.

Our bathroom is ok but I will never use the bidet and the cabinets are old and small. It's funny how the bathrooms have all the walls tiled but the floor is linoleum. I also don't like how my tub has two faucets, one for hot and one for cold. I have to constantly swirl the water together to figure out how hot it is. At least I have a tub though and a decent sized one at that.

It's a shame that all of my clothes and shoes barely fit on my side. I need to get rid of even more I think, or Lidia needs to grow so she can wear some. I could put our suitcases in the attic I guess, or at least some of them.

The ovens run on fans and cook differently. The microwave is on the left. It's fine.

That tall cabinet is my fridge and then there is another in the utility room. The top is a fridge and the bottom a freezer. To the left is the washer and dryer. Behind the door are more cabinets and counter space. We have more than enough space in all these cabinets. A lot of them have drawers that pull out that make so much better use of space. Of course they also go all the way up to the ceiling so I have to use a step stool sometimes. There is a door in the utility room that goes outside.

Like my union jack dog door stop? I need to get a couple of bar stools. I didn't bring mine from home because I didn't know if I would have a bar and they are big with backs. I want two that will fit under the counter completely when pushed up.

no screens here so we just leave doors and windows open and hope that any things that fly in will also fly out

Yes, I am in the middle of putting laundry away.

Tristan actually has a closet.

They are installing real shades right now. Yay!

I guess Tristan thought he could catch the squirrell.

Ignore the dishes, we do live here.;)

The stove or hob as they say here is touch control like an ipad but more tricky. I have not quite got the hang of it yet. You pull the cabinet above it out and the hood fan comes on and light. The towel rods by Aiden pull out.  It's nice. All of the windows have nice big ledges but with the counter there too, I can barely reach to open the window. I'm such a shorty.
